  • Park Point Montessori is dedicated to providing the highest quality Montessori education in Sugar Land, with our Montessori Certified teachers and Montessori trained assistants. Our objective at PPM is to create an atmosphere that promotes a love of learning and to educate children to be caring, socially responsible citizens of their community and the world. We offer progressive educational programs from 3 months through 2nd grade as well as an After School program up through 5th grade.

  • Park Point Montessori encourages independent, self-directed learning not only for school, but for life, in a child-centered community valuing respect for others as well as in individual differences. We highly value our relationship with our children and our parents. PPM believes that strong communication and trust are key in sustaining a committed and supportive connection with our families.
  • Park Point Montessori seeks to educate the whole child, applying the Montessori philosophy, in a family-oriented environment. The philosophy is based on the principles of Dr. Maria Montessori (1870-1952) whose holistic vision of education focuses on the cognitive, social, emotional and physical needs of the child. For Dr. Montessori, and for PPM, education is preparation for life.
  • The Montessori methods were first introduced in the early 1900's by Italian physician, Dr. Maria Montessori. Dr. Montessori wrote, “The most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from Birth to the age of Six.” Montessori thought is that if we want self-directed children, we can not have teacher-directed classrooms. If the desired end product is independent thinking, the means must be independent learning. Therefore, the goal of early childhood education should not be to fill the child with facts from pre-selected courses of studies, but rather to cultivate his/her own natural desire to learn.
